Biography
Dr. Yantao Wei is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education, Central China Normal University. He holds a Ph.D. in Control Science and Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He serves as Deputy Director of the Hubei Key Laboratory of Digital Education, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Adolescent Cyberpsychology and Behavior (Ministry of Education), and Deputy Director of Hubei Educational Informatization Research Center. He is a Guizi Young Scholar and has been selected for the Wuhan Talent Program. His research focuses on learning analytics, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and machine learning. He has led over 10 research projects including three NSFC grants and one Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences project. He has published more than 50 papers in international journals including Pattern Recognition, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, Neurocomputing, and Infrared Physics & Technology, with two ESI Highly Cited Papers. He has been awarded the First Prize of Hubei Provincial Natural Science Award and the Technology Innovation Award from the China Electronic Video Industry Association.
