Biography
Dr. Qiu Shijie is the Director and Chief Physician of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Ningbo Medical Center Lihuili Hospital. He holds a Master of Medicine from Ningbo University School of Medicine. With over 20 years of clinical experience, he performs more than 1,000 surgeries annually. He specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of head and neck tumors, including laryngeal cancer, hypopharyngeal cancer, and thyroid tumors, with a focus on functional reconstruction and rehabilitation after tumor resection. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2017. He has led and participated in multiple provincial and municipal research projects, received numerous science and technology awards, published over 10 papers (including 4 SCI-indexed papers), and holds 6 invention and utility model patents. He is recognized as a Ningbo High-Level Talent, the First Outstanding Physician of Lihuili Hospital, and Discipline Leader of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
